HIN Web News and Newsletter

HIN Newsletter

I may have already formally or informally spoken with you about an HIN newsletter we are trialing for the next couple of months. The Communications Workteam is going to trial a monthly email newsletter to send to our clients to highlight new products, training sessions, services, etc. In December we will evaluate the uptake of the newsletter and its usefulness in disseminating news to our clients.

Typical Newletter Stories:
  • Vendor webinars
  • Training sessions
  • New service
  • Service promotions
  • Research highlight
  • Knowledge Centre renovation
Do you have any stories from projects happening within your workteams or Knowledge Centres that you would like us to cover?

Our first newsletter will be mailed at the beginning of October. Some topics that we are working on include:
  • Open Access week
  • Mini-courses and health literacy course
  • Review of the Senior’s Fair event
  • EBooks at HIN
  • New holds and location pickup options
  • Resource highlights for Breast Cancer Awareness month
HIN News on the Website

We are still using the website to post timely news to our clients. Types of stories that you will see on our website:
  • Holiday closures
  • New resources
  • Resource down or access change
  • New service or service change
  • Instruction sessions
  • Knowledge Centre events
  • Updates to the website

If you have any news to contribute to the website, please send these to Sylvia Santiago for posting or review.
