RefWorks 2.0 Switch and Compatibility Issues

Two quick reminders:

2.0 switch date:

All schools will have their default interface switched to RefWorks 2.0 on Tuesday, October 25. New users will automatically create an account in 2.0. Users who have been working in Classic will be able to remain in Classic until the end of the 2011. All users will have the option to toggle back and forth between the two interfaces until then.


Known compatibility issues:

• Write-N-Cite is not compatible with the new Mac OS, Lion. We do not have a release date for a compatible version, but it is expected this fall.
• Write-N-Cite is not compatible with Word 2011 (Mac). The new version of WNC should also address this issue.
• Write-N-Cite often has trouble working with .docx files. Please resave the file as a .doc and try running your bibliography again.
• Internet Explorer 9 users will need to turn on Compatibility Mode in order to have full functionality (they will otherwise be unable to edit the Title field when entering references manually)
